A true Van de Kamp's classic, the Date Nut Loaf is a highly requested fan favorite. Customers in the 1950’s and beyond would purchase these special loaves for holiday meals and afternoon house parties, and now it’s a perfect accompaniment to coffee or tea anytime. Van de Kamp's suggested that the Date Nut Loaf be served thinly sliced with spreadable cream cheese. The taste is rich with sweet Medjool dates and toasted walnuts. Enjoy!

In search of a food memory, an internet search brought me to theVan de Kamps internet website. The loaves arrived very fresh and well packaged and they did not disappoint. We served them to our guests (with cream cheese, of course), and they were also delighted. Although slightly different that what we had remembered,(the east coast version of this product which was not a Van de Kamps product, was different), We all agreed that the Van de Kamps version was BETTER! That is truly a rave from all of us, as we all know that products today are rarely (if ever) the same as we remember. The Van de Kamps high standard of quality really did shine in the Date Nut Loaf. I will be trying things from the rest of the line!
