Peanut Butter Oat Cookie - 1/2 dozen

Who doesn't love a buttery, sandy, crisp and chewy peanut butter cookie? Known to Van de Kamp's customers as the Peanut Crisp Snack Cookie, this recipe has been altered only in size. The "snack cookie" was a 2" round crisp cookie that came in a box of 10 or more, and children would reel with glee at the sight of them back in the 50's. Now they're the same size as their comrades and baked to be softer on the inside with the same sandy crispness around the rim. Scrumptious!
