Wouldn't a warm slice of pumpkin bread be one of the tastiest ways to commemorate the fall season? This soft and moist loaf is woven with the best warm spices and dotted with finely chopped pecans with extra cinnamon sugar topping. A cup of tea, a slice of Pumpkin Loaf - the coziest.
Ingredients: organic flour, sugar, organic pureed pumpkin, olive oil, organic eggs, pecans, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, sea salt

Sitting down to write a review for the recently purchased Pumpkin Pecan Loaf ( which was delicious, just like all of the Van de Kamp’s offerings), I came across an old advertisement for Van de Kamp’s. This got me reminiscing. The Holidays just would not be festive without Van de Kamp’s Bakery treats. Our parents used to slow- cook the Holiday turkey overnight, with sausage placed on top. Waking up the next morning the house was filled with the aroma of the roasted turkey dinner that was ahead of us. At Breakfast the sausage was removed from the turkey and served along with scrambled eggs and Van de Kamp’s coffee cake (Boterkoek). The holiday turkey was basted and cooked at a higher temperature to make it golden brown. Dinner was served with Van de Kamp’s Butterfly roll, Date-nut Bread and all of the trimmings. And of course, you had to make room for the best pumpkin pie ever created all courtesy of Van de Kamp’s Bakery. My brother and sister and I, still judge pumpkin pies by how they compare to Van de Kamp’s version.
Today Van de Kamp’s Bakery offer Cranberry Orange Bread and Pumpkin Walnut Bread. Just like the original date-nut bread, the Pumpkin loaf and Cranberry Bread will be added alongside the others, as family tradition. Have order from Van de Kamp’s Bakery in the past (Holiday sugar cookies, Dutch cocoa cookies) and will order more as X-mas Season gets closer. Yum!
