Stroopwafel

A traditional Dutch waffle and caramel sandwich cookie, the Stroopwafel, pronounced "strope waffle," was originally requested by an Irvine farmers market customer, who said, "Aren't you a Dutch bakery? Then where are your Dutch treats?" Introduced for the 2023 holiday markets in Orange County, these popular cookies are now part of the New Van de Kamp's Bakery.  Eet smakelijk!

Ingredients: flour, butter, milk, salt, cinnamon, yeast, stroop (molasses, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, salt) OR nutella (sugar, modified palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa powder, skimmed milk powder, whey powder, soy lecithin, and vanillin)
